Scope of Practice

Some of the clinical hypnotic techniques I employ will only be undertaken with a referral from your doctor or other qualified medical practitioner. These statements, the contents of this website, and my personal opinions regarding therapeutic modalities have not been evaluated by the FDA nor approved by any other government or official body. Nothing offered on or offline by Steven Seither, CHt., or Sierra Hypnotherapy is intended to diagnose, cure or prevent any disease. In California, Clinical Hypnotherapists are not licensed. We are instead certified by our professional associations as allowed by law. Therefore, please note, when you receive any therapeutic treatment from a hypnotherapist it will not be from a licensed physician, psychotherapist, psychoanalyst, psychiatrist, psychologist, master of family or child counseling, or master of social work. None of the processes, nor the advice you receive here or in session should be considered substitutes for medical attention, and they are neither intended as, nor should be used as, a substitute for your physician’s role in monitoring and treating you. As with all things related to your health, you should always consult your physician before embarking on any adjunct or complimentary therapy or beginning a new diet or exercise regimen.
